Dir en grey in Toronto [09/02/07]

Alright. This is...Going to be a semi-review, and a semi-opinion based...You know what, screw it. The concert was awesome.

Beginning of the day. 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM
I woke up. Cooked. Ate the food I cooked. Went on Gaia. Checked Email. Put clothes on. Styled hair. Checked time. 8:00 AM. Played video games for 2 hours. Put coat on and various other things. Left house. Picked up Jess!

The rest of the day...
So, basically. After I picked up Jess and Maria, we got on the bus to meet Mitty at Englington. We got something to eat and took the subway down to Union. When we got there, we ended up bumping into her Korean friend from London and he hung out with us. For a while, we couldn't find the number "6" bus, so I ended up having to call Ju-chan to get directions to the bus stop. We got on the bus, ended up getting off at the wrong stop and walked all the way to the Guvernment. The line was not THAT long, but it was long enough. We actually had quite a lot of friends near the front, so we went to meet them. Honestly, It was annoying. I don't like people looking at me. I don't like people staring at me. I don't like people in general, so having people look at me was WAY too much to handle but it was alright. Once we got our place in line, we stood there--waiting. It was freezing. Really. Freezing. I love Toronto and all, but COME ON. It was way too cold. I felt like I was going to die, jeez. The time was passing by slowly too, it was horrible. To keep ourselves entertained we were coming up with theories on what Diru was doing inside their tour van.

Theory one [In Japanese of course but since I am lazy--I will type in English]:
Kyo: Hey guys~ I wonder how loud they will cheer if I look out the window
*Shinya;Totchi;Die;Kaoru watch as Kyo laughs at his fans freezing in the cold*

Theory Two:
Quote on Quote: "They are all probably in that van playing the wii! Making characters of themselves and beating the crap out of eachother!"

Theory Three:
"Hey guys; I wonder what will happen if we walk out and then back into the bus"

Theory Four:
They were laughing at us. No doubt. No doubt.

Moving along, it was really cold and by then, only 20 minutes had passed. Which is horrible for that amount of pain in that weather. We decided to get our gifts together and sign them. I remember that Mitty got Kyo this warm packets or something. It was a joke--Very cool and funny. They were some type of warm packet, sort of like Cold packets for when you hurt a muscle or something. Anyways, since it's so cold in Toronto--It was a joke to keep Diru warm. Haha. Jess made Die a shirt, and bought him this really cool lighter that made a siren sound when you turned the flame on. Though--He will use this to smoke = =. I got Shinya pictures of me and my dog--We made signs for him. This is an odd present, yes but I know how much he loves his dog. I also love my dog--and I thought of the best way to express this. I mean, he can buy his own clothing, jewellary, CDs, whatever. I wanted to give something that meant more--Even if he throws it out...Atleast he looked at it? Anyways, Ju-chan got Totchi a Doraemon plushie, and...I don't think anyone got something for Kaoru...WHICH I FEEL BAD!! Unless the present for Kyo was also for Kaoru--Anyways, whatever there is. I'm sure they will share. Hahaha. After this, we waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. Waited....Still waiting. Waiting.

We figured out someone actually DID bring a gameboy Advance [I was supposed to bring my DS...But forgot] so, we played it for a while--or attempted to at least. I can't even remember the game at this point. It was around 3:40 or so by then. Maybe a little later, then again I wasn't paying attention to the time...Which was in my pocket--While my hands froze. Eventually, Kaoru walked out of the Van, Totchi...Die...Shinya...And Kyo--The 12 year old with abs. :) Man, They are OLD. Awesome. BUT OLD. Hahaha; It's amusing. It was starting to get really bored. I had The Final replaying in my ear for three hours...So long. >D; Sigh--I had so many people calling me asking where I was that day, so annoying. But, I was glad Charsi called me! I have been waiting to see her for so long! I was so glad to see her. ^-^; Man, she's cute. Eventually, she got to the venue and I went to see her. By then, I was shaking because of the damn weather. IT WAS COLD. I can not stress this enough. IT WAS COLD. COLD. COLD. COLD. But, it was worth it. Anyways, I went to see her. I saw Charsi, Vince, Alex, and some other people...I can't remember the names of...Gomen nasai! It was pretty warm there, but I was still shaking. We talked about random things as Vince walked around. BAND RIVALRY!! After a while, I saw an interviewer for the DEG DVD, and I was hoping I would get interviewed. I mean, it is very cool. And, eventually. They came down to us, and interviewed Alex. His interview was good, but I don't think he should have mentioned too many other bands~ Other than that, it was good. Then, the cool camera otoko was pointing at me and Charsi and I was like, in my head, *YEAH FINALLY MAN LET'S GOO! WOOOW* and so we did. They asked questions like:

Is this the first time you are seeing Dir en grey?
Hiro : No, this is my second. I also saw them live the time they came to Toronto in the Summer. The show was amazing then, and will be amazing now.

Do you think this will be better?
Hiro : Yes, I do because I hope it'll be longer than before. Longer is better.

Why do you like Dir en grey, compared to other bands, what do you like about them?
Hiro : Honestly, I think that I like the way Diru changes every album. I mean, their music is always different. It's amazing, really. Every album sounds different--They look different. If you compare them, not that you should, but if you do, you can really see that their is no other band like them. They are simply amazing.

So, how are you feeling right now?
Hiro : FREEZING. It is so cold! I mean, our theory is that they are laughing at us in their tour van. *Hahahahah* It's funny--but I mean, they came all the way from Japan, so I think we can wait just a little bit. They came so far~ I know we can do it. :)

Any last comments to the band?
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING. AWESOME. SUGOI!. And, also. Come back...To Toronto...Even though...It's freezing! :) GOOD LUCK! You rock.

( These are, maybe, 95% accurate--Room for mistakes)

Then...They left. And I was happy. I hope it makes it on the DVD; or at least Diru sees the part were I say "...our theory is that they are laughing at us in their tour van" I REALLY want them to see that, hahaha. Awesome. After that, we continued to make small talk. Charsi was attempting to make my hands warm--It didn't help a lot, but I was grateful! Plus, I liked it. ^^; It's not my fault I have a gift in seducing older women. :) Hahaha. <3 Iloveher. After that, Vince came back and missed it. Hahaha, poor guy. :(

Something random; I realized something the other day, we pay money to see Kyo go on stage and mutilate himself. I'm not sure if anyone in particular enjoys to see this, but I just realized what we do. XD It's amusing that we pay to see this. I mean--He's very talented at looking scary? I think we should pay more money so that he doesn't hurt himself. I think concerts would lose their taste but, that can't be healthy for his body. I mean--I saw skin flying off! XD

So we began to wait...And I saw the line move a bit, thus I was like, damn gotta' go back up to my friends but I don't want to lose Charsi. So, I asked them to come with and, again, "You sure..." "People will get mad...." *takes breath* "WHO CARESSHS;G LMAO." Eventually, they came. We hung out there and when it was time to go in, we all had to squish together, haha, into the line, because the bouncer was being a prick. But, We got in the line alright, and ended up getting in. Buying some merch, coat check, BATHROOM, and stuff.

Some random guys asked if I worked there. While I was standing right beside security. XD;
Weirded.

We went to the crowd and waited. Damn waiting, there was too much of it. The first opening band came on, the instrumental was good, and the vocalist was a nice guy. Sadly I think, the band would be better if the vocalist could sing and the lyrics were better. But it was horrible--Just...The singing. AGAIN--This is JUST my opinion.[Bleed the Dream] Anyways, the next band was even worse. Jesus band. The drummer looked like Jesus, the guitarist had the body of Jesus and the keyboardist had the hands of god [ HE WAS REALLY GOOD ] and the vocalist sucked. I think the only good aspect was the lyrics. They were pretty good. Very politicial and religious. Honest, lyrics. [Fair to Midland] By then two, I'm assuming Korean, guys pushed their way in front of me. ODD ENOUGH, the same guys that thought I worked there. AND, if it didn't get any odder...[odder?] One of the guys I had seen before, at the ice rink downtown. I remember seeing him because his hair was amazing and was the same colour as mine. The pushing began and at that point, I couldn't put my hands down, or I would end up touching their ass so I just lended against one of them a bit--Which I felt bad for doing. They seemed like assholes actually, but I don't think they were. One of the guys seemed concerned because I kept almost getting pushed down. *Hey, I'm sorry I'm not huge and muscular* But I had my arm around one of them, sort of perching myself up but also holding him up because everytime the pushing started, he almost fell so I think it was helping at least a bit. More pushing continued, and I felt really bad. But, he just kept asking if I was okay, so again I think I underestimated a random person's kindness. But, as the moshing grew...

NOTE: To all your newb fans or whatever the hell. Why can't you understand that Dir en grey is against moshing? They don't like it? We don't like it? Why mosh? Would you like to kill someone? Do it somewhere else. SO ANNOYING. AHHH. And, I hope that when Kyo gave you moshers a really dirty stare, that you will be haunted forever in your dreams!

It became painful. I lost contact with almost everyone and spent the remaining concert with Alex. He was being my protection so I am eternally grateful, though I feel horrible...He's kind of small...XD; No offense. But, I felt bad. Honestly, he was in the worst position , at one time my leg was between his legs and if I moved even a little -- He would have been in A LOT of pain. Though everytime I asked him if he was okay, he said "I'm good". I can't blame him though, I was lying too. Though I have not feeling well, couldn't breathe and felt like dying, I said I was fine. We moved through the crowd until we got to a point were it was actually not TOO bad...Until some random guy three times my size started punching me in the face for no reason! As soon as that happened, I felt sick. Not sick--But I couldn't hold my weight anymore. I ended up leaving in the middle of Merciless Cult and I went to the bathroom. I noticed I had lost my belt, and my clothing was degusting. Sweat, everywhere. So I undressed in the bathroom, aired my clothing out and put some stuff on. I went to the sink and soaked my hair in water, put my hood on and went to a wall I could lean on. Listened to the remaining songs. And waited for the encore. :)

This is supposedly the list of songs played. I didn't write it up--I didn't remember all of them, in order.

THE FATAL BELIEVER
Agitated Screams of Maggots
Mr.Newsman
GRIEF
Obscure
saku
Ryoujoku no Ame
Kodoku ni Shisu, Yue ni Kodoku
Itoshisa wa Fuhai Nitsuki
DISABLED COMPLEXES
Shokubeni
dead tree
The FINAL
Merciless Cult

Encore:
C
The IIID EMPIRE
Beautiful Dirt
CLEVER SLEAZOID

I remember singing my heart out to The FINAL, Obscure, Ryoujoku no Ame, The IIID EMPIRE, saku and Mr.Newsman. Haha, I also remember a young girl beside me attempting to sing the songs. Her voice was not good, but it was cute. Except she got all the lyrics, AWFULLY, wrong. >_<'' Anyways; The encore came on--By then I was too tired to do anything so I sat back and just listened, hoping not to fall asleep or pass out. The lights went up and it ended. It ended? Diru was leaving, again? Sigh. Before they left though, Kaoru, Totchi and Die threw out some picks. [That 5 of my friends ended up getting--LCII] Shinya threw his drum sticks into the crowd, I REALLY REALLY wanted those...Sigh, too bad. T__T; But, It was Jess's birthday and she said this was the best birthday present ever from Die. His pick. ^-^ I was happy to hear that.

It was the end of the night, and we were all sweaty and gross. I hate sweat, really. I hate sweat. XD; We waited in line for coat check, went outside and got our presents ready. Initially we wanted to give them to them ourselves, but we realized that was probably not possible--So we gave them to the roadie who helped us out last summer. His hair was still the same, and he looked really awesome as always. It was really cool. And, he took the presents, accepted them gracefully and we thanked him. He was very, very nice. Though, I wish I learnt his name. I really want to thank him more than anyone else, he is really amazingly nice. sigh. Maybe next time.

We stayed for a while later--But it was too cold, so we started walking back to Union. Eventually got there, got on the subway. Everyone got off at different stops and so we just sort of went our seperate ways. I attempted to sleep on the bus, because I was EXTREMELY tired. I slept for a bit, but ended up thinking about Tiffany...So I texted her. Sigh, I don't know why I do that to myself.

We got to my house late--Maybe...11:00 or 12:00, I'm not exactly sure. I remember undressing and putting on shorts; and a t-shirt and going to bed. I was REALLY tired, and smelly. GROSS.
That was the end of February 9th, 2007.

Dir en grey forever ♥♥♥♥
Hopefully next time--People will be smarter and NOT mosh.
It will be a better venue, and we will get our meet and greet.
Though, I am not complaining.

Btw; I didn't edit this entry. There could be many mistakes I am unaware of. :)

I was looking at scans for COLOR 2006-9 Yue Hao (142 Qi), which is a magazine issue (if you didn't know, and I realized...I really need to get that magazine. O_O;; Not only does it have Joe Zheng, All of Fahrenheit, Lee Jun Ki, it ALSO has, Joo Ji Hoon and Kim Jeong Hoon. *actors from Goong* This magazine, looks really awesome. XD;

Though, I can't really take Joe seriously after watching ISWAK..and watching the NGs..He laughs ODDLY. XD But it's really funny, SERIOUSLY funny. I think I spent most of the drama crying, and the other minority laughing because of the way he laughs. :P Hahaha, anyways. I'm going to go to Pacific mall, and buy that issue because it looks very awesome.

Mmm, I ordered in a Fahrenheit DVD thinger--With their CD, and a DVD with MVs and stuff on it. It looks cool. I also ordered int Dong Bang Shin ki's third photobook, man' I hope it was worth all that money XD;

Anyhow, I need to get ready for school.
